Adeleke University. Adeleke University (AU) is one of the few private universities in Nigeria and Africa that have emerged as pathfinder trail blazers in the educational sector. AU\u2019s vision makes it a breed apart and this it has vigorously pursued through infrastructural developments, teaching, research, community development and international collaborations. The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke has indeed \u201cplanted a tree\u201d that is now providing great shelter for millions of people within and outside Nigeria. As a university that was conceived out of the philosophy that, \u201ca mind is a terrible thing to waste\u201d, Adeleke University has continued to make sure that precious minds desirous of quality university education are not wasted because of lack of accessibility or funds. Predicated on the tripod philosophies of Education, Excellence and Character, the university has evolved a unique culture and an outlook that constantly resonates its vision, mission and core values. As the dynamics of the modern society presents us with unfamiliar challenges, including the current covid-19 pandemic, it is our responsibility as a university to respond through the provision of curtain-edge solutions that involve ground breaking researches and innovative teaching.<\/p><p>In the emerging world economic order that will compliment globalization agenda, information and communication technologies would play a dominant role and Adeleke University is poised to position itself as a platform for bridging the inequalities caused by uneven developments especially in human capital. Adeleke University, in recent past, has metamorphosed into a household name and we must make more efforts to surpass whatever achievements we have made. Through our teaching and research efforts, we must present to our students the benefits of excellence through hard work so that they will imbibe the confidence to excel globally and make us proud. In doing this, we shall push through these three points of reference, Godliness, Firmness and Fairness. We must as a university understand that, it is our collective responsibility as critical stakeholders to embrace Adeleke University as our own personal project. Our catch phrase in this regard must be, \u201cwork as unto the Lord\u201d. Our parents are one critical stakeholder that we hold very dear. Sending your wards to us shows the level of confidence you reposed on our ability to nurture the potentials in these young minds so that we all can be proud of what they will eventually become in future. It is our promise that, as long as it lies within our abilities, every young mind entrusted into our care will be processed with a tender care to flourish and prosper.
