There is the community, national and international relevance which has distinguished the Faculty amongst its peers. In its resolve to become a breed apart, the Faculty has created a Clinical Legal Education and Research System that are grounded on the values of equity, social justice, excellence and character reformation. It is essentially an instrument of social control. It is obvious that an instrument of social control devoid of the mechanism to build peace will leave human society in constant strife. Embedded in the task of law is the need to resolve social conflicts and build peace. Conflict and peace studies aspire to prevent, manage, resolve conflicts and maintain peace among nations, the government and the governed, inter and intra-community strife among others. We live in an age of advanced technology that has produced destructive weaponry which can wipe away the entire human race and human civilization. Consequently, a conflict and peace study is, and must remain, a necessary predicate of legal studies if the study of law must fulfil the law primary purpose in human society.<\/p><p>The Law programme of Adeleke University is established for the pursuit of truth and the preservation, advancement and transmission of knowledge through high quality, general and professional education geared towards preparing people for dedicated service to humanity. The Law programme is established to contribute significantly to the enrichment and enhancement of legal study and practice. It is designed to provide legal education within the realm of a dynamic socio-political environment that encompasses the national and global trends and challenges. The main focus of the Law programme is to create an environment that encourages intellectual rigour, analytical and critical engagement as well as profound ethical standards. class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Faculty of Law of Adeleke University was established during the 2014\/2015 academic session as a centre of academic activities in the University for preparing students for degree programmes in the Law Discipline. It is strategically located in a three floor, four wing complex, very close to the University\u2019s Senate Building and few meters away from the two female hostels, the cafeteria and the Esther Adeleke shopping mall.
