Adeleke University Ede, Osun state has surpassed the expectations of many stakeholders with giant strides in infrastructural development, library expansion and research.\u00a0 Established in 2011 by a Philanthropist of note and a seasoned administrator, Elder (Dr.) Adedeji Adeleke, the University on Sunday, July 16, 2017 unleashed 250 well groomed graduates, found worthy both in learning and character from six faculties.<\/span><\/p>\n The programme started with a Pre-Convocation lecture by Dr. Ngom Mbare, the Dean of Management Sciences, Morgan State University, Baltimore USA. This was followed by the commissioning of Eagles Square, a beautiful garden built by the graduating class of 2017, \u201cthe Class of Eagles\u201d, as gift to their Alma Mata by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke.<\/span><\/p>\n There was a Thanksgiving Service on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Performing Arts Theatre to thank God for a successful completion of an academic session and completion various academic programmes by the graduands. The President\/Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Ademola Tayo presided over and challenged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of their Alma Mata.\u00a0 Then, there was Pro-Chancellor\u2019s Banquet on Saturday evening. The highlight of the evening event was the Pro-Chancellor\u2019s hand shake with a handicapped female graduate, Odemo Sherifat, who was offered the opportunity to do her one-year compulsory National Youth Service Corps in Adeleke University and upon completion an automatic employment in the University. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Sunday, July 16, 2017, the Performing Arts Theatre arena of the University was agog with graduands, parents, guardians, lecturers, staff, council members and other guests who graced the occasion with their presence. Dignitaries at the occasion included; the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, President of Morgan State University, Professor, David Wilson, PDP statesman in Osun state, Chief Iyiola Omisore, Senator Ademola Adeleke, \u00a0some Vice-Chancellors from other universities, Oba Munirudeem Adesola, (Timi of Ede land), Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, (Aroyinkeye 1, the Orangun of Oke-Ila) and representatives of government agencies. Delivering the convocation lecture, the guest Lecturer, Professor David Wilson thanked the Pro-Chancellor for the vision and the strength to establish a University that has immensely contributed to knowledge acquisition and research. He reiterated the commitment of Morgan state University to partner with Adeleke University in international students and staff exchange programme.<\/span><\/p>\n
